If you are seeking employment as a professional Nanny, Au Pair, or Childminder, we have certain requirements that you must meet. This is particularly important because you will be entrusted with the care of someone else’s most treasured possessions—their children and babies. We place a high emphasis on the safety and well-being of the children under our care, and therefore, we hold our candidates to the highest standards. Non negotiable standard in our Agency
- Non-smoker and sober habits
- Must be registered on our database (click to register-link)
- Must be available for an interview and come to submit your finger prints for criminal clearance. ( click to schedule appointment)
- Previous childcare experience
- Childcare qualifications and first aid/CPR (click if you want to do your course)
- Will go through our induction and training to understand our standards, methodology and practice
A nanny consists of the following basics
- Experience working with infants or toddlers younger than the age of 4 years
- Has raised their own children
- Naturally loves being in the company of babies and toddlers
- Connects well with children and understands how to level with them emotionally
- Is creative to construct fun activities from which babies and toddlers can learn
- Immediately recognizes the dangers in any environment to protect a child (like small toys a baby can choke on / water or a swimming pool / stairs etc)
- Completed first aid and CPR for infants and toddlers
- Completed a childcare course or ECD related course
- Clear criminal record
- Previous employment references
Basic requirements of an Aupair
- Valid driver’s license and reliable car
- Experience working with school-aged children and supporting them with school-related work
- High emotional intelligence to level with children of this age
- Non-smokers and sober habits
- Creative skills to minimize screentime and create healthy afterschool habits
- Respectable appearance (close-up tattoos and not several piercings in the face, or visible areas – such is lips, tongue eyes etc)
- You should represent as a good role model to children
- Mature attitude and clear criminal record
